Our Rescue Mission
Based in the heart of Kings Heath, Left Paw Cat Rescue is a small but passionate team dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming stray, abandoned, and vulnerable cats and kittens across South Birmingham.
Whether you’re looking to adopt a cat, become a foster carer, or simply support our mission, you’re in the right place. We believe every cat deserves a second chance, and every purr tells a story.
It was such a joy to foster 2 little kittens. Knowing they had a great, safe and loving start to life before they went off to their adopter was such a rewarding and fulfilling feeling!! Would reccomend to all.

Being a foster is so amazing. Giving cats a second chance for them to have a wonderful life is something I love. Taking care of them and watching them grow into a confident cat. Finding out what their personality is and being able to pass this onto their forever home family. Abi provides support throughout the process and is always available for help and always responds to any question. It is really enjoyable and not a chore. I wouldn't change what I do.

Fostering has been such a special experience for us. Our first foster, Nigel, came to us in poor health but with time, love and care we saw him transform before finding his forever home with a lovely couple. Our second foster, Harrison, had a difficult start in life but bonded so closely with our own cat that we decided to adopt him ourselves! 💕
Abi, the owner, is absolutely lovely and cares so much about every single cat. She provides everything needed for fostering, which makes it such a positive and rewarding experience. We’re so glad we’ve had the opportunity to help out such an amazing cause, and we’d encourage anyone thinking about it to give fostering a try… you won’t regret it! 🐾

Becoming a foster kitten parent has been an absolute joy and privilege. It’s been so rewarding to give these little ones a better start in life — helping them to socialise, to grow in confidence, and to get ready for their forever homes. There’s nothing quite like opening the kitten room door in the morning and being greeted by a flurry of tiny paws running out to say hello. The cuddles, the purrs, the playful chaos — it’s all been such a pleasure. This was my very first time fostering, but it definitely won’t be my last. There’s simply nothing more heart-warming than watching them grow and knowing you’ve played a part in their journey.
